The Story Behind Uluwatu's Hidden Cliff Top Café
Some places find you. Copy House is one of them.
Copy House is a specialty coffee shop set on the clifftops of Uluwatu, Bali, overlooking the Indian Ocean and Uluwatu Temple to the north west. Housed within a tiny antique Indonesian gladak — carefully dismantled and brought here piece by piece — it is one of the most quietly distinctive places in southern Bali. Small on purpose. Unhurried by design. Hidden enough that finding it feels like it was meant for you.

A House With a History
Copy House is a genuine antique Indonesian gladak, carefully dismantled, brought here, and reassembled with the same care it was first built with. The antique timber carries its age in every grain and joint — you can see it, feel it, smell it. It was not designed for the modern world. It was built to shelter, to gather, to last.
We found it a new home on the clifftops of Uluwatu at Karang Boma and let it be what it always was.
A place to begin from. The cliff is where the experience unfolds.
Bali moves fast now. The traffic, the noise, the endless scroll. Somewhere along the way, the island's quieter magic became harder to reach.
Copy House was built as a deliberate counterpoint. A tiny cliff top space in Uluwatu where the agenda is nothing more than a good coffee or a cold coconut, a sarong spread on the earth, and the unhurried company of whoever you came with. No loud music. No crowds. Just nature, the ocean horizon, and the sunset moving through its colours above Karang Boma.
Why Copy House Exists
The Cliff Top Experience
Collect your drink from the gladak. Take a traditional sarong or tikar mat. Then walk to the cliff edge and find your piece of it.
The land opens to the Indian Ocean, wide and endless. To the north west, Uluwatu Temple sits on the headland exactly as it has for centuries. In the late afternoon the sky above Karang Boma moves through amber, rose and deep violet as the sun drops toward the horizon.
This is the Copy House experience. Barefoot on a tikar mat, drink in hand, on the cliff edge in Uluwatu, Bali.
Our menu is short by intention. Specialty coffee sourced from Indonesia's finest growing regions — Flores, Toraja, Aceh — prepared carefully and without ceremony. Fresh young coconuts served cold. Simple and right for this place.
Copy House is not a restaurant. It is not a bar. It is a cliff top coffee experience in Uluwatu built around one thing: slowing down.
What We Serve
Finding Copy House
Copy House is intentionally hidden. Set back from the cliff edge near Karang Boma in Uluwatu, it does not advertise itself loudly. The guests who find it tend to return.
Come in the late afternoon. Order something you can hold with both hands. Take a sarong. Find your spot along the cliff. Stay until the sky tells you to leave.
That is all we ask.
